Awful Experience

I arrived to no greeting, and walked into the mens barber's section, and stood in the room until the lady barber swung a seat round and looked at me. I hung my coat up, sat down, and she asked what I wanted. I told her short sides and long top, keeping the fringe. She didn't smile once. She proceeded to say how uneven my hair was, and then began clipping without saying a word. After five minutes of complete silence between us, despite my efforts to make conversation, and her checking her phone while cutting my hair, she told me I was done. It was looking good until the last few cuts, where she levelled off my fringe to make it dead straight. I told her I wanted it tapered, but she assured me it would look tidier straight. Her being the expert, I trusted her. She asked me nothing further about the length, and cut it all pretty much the same length. I was charged £7.50, which is good, but for the poor service and a haircut I could have done much better myself, I was not impressed. I went there on a recommendation, but the recommendation was to go with the gentlemen barber - I should have followed this advice. Avoid her at all costs. Awful.
